9/11.....8 Years later

It has been 8 years since the terror attacks and I still haven't forgotten that day.

Finally....

It has been at least a year in the making, but I was finally able to catch a bolt of lighting. The sky is blown out here from more strikes off to the right, but I was happy to get a decent shot.

Still hoping to get a nice big single bolt heading towards the ground.

I am still working on it.

Supporting Friends

I try to make it a habit to support my friends in whatever they do and offer a helping hand if I can. A friend of mine is in a KISS cover band, Kiss Alive, and has been sending me the fliers every time they have a gig. In the past, other things have been scheduled and I was never able to make it to one of the shows.

This past Saturday, I did have the time to catch the band at a local venue, Pulp Live, for a full set. It was great to seem them, in full KISS makeup, rock a great set. It was a good time and best of all I was able to take my camera in to get some shots of them.

Breaking even.

Just have to say that after finishing my taxes for 2008, I was happy to see that my photo business broke even.

It is nothing major, but it was cool to see that after 2.5 years I've reached a point where my costs are equal to my revenue. I think that '09 will be a loss because of the economy, not because I'm not trying to do better.

Gotta keep pushing and trying.
